Community Housing organisation Unison Housing (Unison) and Wombat Housing Support Services (Wombat) have entered into a Strategic Alliance.

In line with its strategic plan for service delivery excellence, Unison has identified an opportunity with the well-respected support agency, Wombat. Wombat delivers support services for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and already works with Unison in the Inner West.

Together, Wombat and Unison have agreed to form a 12-month Strategic Alliance to better support our clients. Wombat will provide support to Unison renters to help sustain their tenancies, and Unison will provide Wombat with immediate and critical back-of-house functions.

The only position impacted by the Strategic Alliance is the Wombat CEO role,which is currently under consultation. There will be no impact on current Unison roles or other Wombat roles.

A Strategic Alliance (SA) Group, consisting of Unison’s CEO, deputy CEO, Director of People, and a Wombat management representative, will oversee the Alliance.
